Cold drawn tube
The Goldspar draw bench can draw aluminium tube up to 165mm
outside diameter up to 10 metre drawn lengths.
The advantages of cold-drawn tube include strength, thin tube
walls, close dimensional tolerance and non-standard size availability.
Cold-drawing aluminium tube changes the properties of the
extruded tube, work-hardening the aluminium to make it more
highly tempered with greater yield strength than the extruded
tube from which it was drawn.
Cold-drawing enables unwanted stock sizes to be converted
to more useful sizes.
